Anti-Virus

  • Avast! Avast! Antivirus Home Edition is free to use, however, the Professional edition is available for a nominal fee on a yearly basis.

Anti-Spyware

  • Malwarebytes Free spyware scans are available, though the full version can be purchased here.
  • Super Anti Spyware Free spyware program with the option to donate. Donations are not required for full support.

Protect Your Family

  • Qustodio The initial product helped parents see what their kids were doing on their Windows computers in an easy-to-understand way. In the years since then, Qustodio has added multiple features and expanded to cover many operating systems. It’s now a truly comprehensive parental control solution that works on (almost) all devices.

Cleaning Software

  • CCleaner Free-to-use program that provides registry cleaning and cache clearing.
  • Glary Utilities Free to use performance cleaning solution; provides registry and cache cleaning as well as defrag and one click checkup.

Web Browsers

  • Firefox Firefox is an open source browser which can be utilized for free.
  • Google Chrome Chrome is another free browser. Android based browser for your Smart Phone.
  • Safari is another free browser. Apple based browser for your Mac OSX, IPhone, and available for Windows.

Email Client

  • Thunderbird Thunderbird is an open source email client which can be utilized for free.

Office Suite

  • Libre Office  is an open source office suite which can be utilized for free and a great alternative to Microsoft Office.

CD Burning

  • CDBurnerXP is a very basic burning software for Audio, MP3, Data Backup Etc.

Benchmarking

  • Prime95 Prime95 tests both the processor (CPU) as well as memory (RAM).
  • Performance Test by PassMark is a basic test for CPU, GPU, Hard Drive, RAM.
